Winter Warmers @ Sunway Carnival

My mum and sister wanted to dine at Pho Vietz but sadly it had closed down :( So they tried this restaurant for the first time and loved it.

I remembered that there was discount at the restaurant given by Grab Dineout. It was 20% first time discount + 10% loyalty discount. So, one day, I suggested to Ban to try it out since we were going to the mall to get lactose-free milk. 

I ordered the lemongrass orange tea, which was refreshing and lightly aromatic. Tasted better with honey.

Ban ordered the chrysanthemum jasmine tea, which was not bad but the jasmine wasn't strong enough. He took up my offer of swapping the tea since he preferred the lemongrass orange tea with honey.

We both agreed that a teapot was too much for an individual. It's more suitable for tea time when you have a long chat with someone over tea and cakes.  

 


We both had lemongrass mint chicken: his was with vegetables while mine was with aglio olio. He was indifferent to it, which means he wouldn't order it again but he is ok to eat it. As for me, I thought the chicken was good. Flavour was true to its name but slightly sweet. Pasta was more flavourful than expected but spicy It was quite soft. Had generous amount of mushrooms. The big downside was its greasiness.

I also had carrot potato soup but creamy version. Light flavour and delicious.

My first entry in this blog was on 3 Oct 2008 but I actually started blogging in late May 2008 in a shared blog called Queer Qloset. That shared blog is pretty much dead now. Gradually over the months it seems that only a few of us are actively blogging in it. Although Ban thinks Anatomist's Dark spells are sufficient in dealing damage and so he suggests Alchemyst as Yate's secondary class, I choose Wizard for the following reasons: Quite often, demonic creatures have Dark immunity and other creatures have immunity to other elements. So having Dark, Water, Fire, Earth and Thunder spells enable Yates to cast the most suitable spell, especially when the enemies are vulnerable to certain elements. Firstly, there is something I want to say: cost of living in Malaysia is higher than that in Singapore overall. Why? Consider this: salary, in term of figures i.e. without taking into account of currency, is roughly the same in both countries. For example, if the starting salary of an actuarial executive at an insurance companie is RM2000 in Malaysia, then it is about S$2000 in Singapore. However, economic rice with 2 veg and 1 tofu costs about RM3 in Malaysia whereas it costs about $2.3 in Singapore, both at around the similar kind of shops and location. Hence, given that salary is about the same, in term of figures, then it's important to consider how much each unit of that figure can buy. So, with the notable exception of houses, Singapore is 'cheaper'.
