(Emphasis is mine, to show the mistakes) 1. Free Malaysia Today article: " Trump set to ‘apply pressure’ on Xi over Iran ". Sentence: " he United States and China are also set to discuss extending a year-long trade truce, which the two leaders agreed last October in South Korea. But tensions remain high over Trump’s sweeping tariffs. 2. Financial Standard article: " ATO sounds alarm as Payday Super deadline nears ". Sentence: " ATO deputy commissioner Emmer Rosenzweig said more than half of employees are still playing superannuation quarterly rather than alongside wages, despite the incoming reforms requiring contributions to be paid on payday. " Should be "paying" lol. 3. Free Malaysia Today article: " Gauff’s French Open title defence ends, Sabalenka, Osaka set up last-16 clash ". Sentence: " The Belarusian world number set up a meeting with her fellow quadruple major winner, Osaka. "  World number what?

Sentence: " In Greenland however, Trump’s announcement was greeted with serious scepticism. “He’s lying,” said one main in the capital Nuuk, who was interviewed by the AFP news agency. " 2. ABC News article: " Model revealed for Thriving Kids, the NDIS alternative for some children with developmental delay or autism ". Sentence: " He said aimed to empower parents to support their children, and was in part returning to a system of support that existed prior to the implementation of the NDIS. " 3. Free Malaysia Today article: " Teoh Beng Hock’s sister to address UN Human Rights Council on Tuesday ". Sentence: " The Teoh Beng Hock Association fo Democratic Advancement says Teoh Lee Lan departed today for Geneva, Switzerland. ".

This was a review by a certain Edward Lee, of the restaurant Go Noodle at Paradigm Mall: Edit: I reported it for "Discrimination or hate speech". Later, Google responded: "Thank you for your report. Our systems checked the reported content, and didn't find any issues at this time." WTH.

Unlike the leg to Australia , the leg back had us experienced worse wheelchair assistance. In fact, the worst one was happened unexpectedly at a renown airport. Before I go on, I should stress that although these assitance requests were made with the airlines, I noticed that the staff who provided the asistance were from different companies. This is confirmed by the staff at KLIA but he did say that certain airlines had their staff to do it too. Canberra to Sydney Interestingly, the Qantas staff at Canberra Airport didn't ask whether we wanted to a staff to wheel my mum. She somehow assumed that we wanted to do it ourselves, which was fine with us. At Sydney airport, mum was made to walk quite a distance, including the slightly inclined aerobridge, right into the airpot and we were made to wait (with seats available, thank goodness) for the staff to bring a wheelchair for her. " She named only 3 civilisation thereafter.   2. The Sun article: " “Thanks for wasting everyone’s time” says HR after M’sian declines job offer politely ". Sentence: " He also explained that he was posting about the issue not the speak ill of the company but candidates are allowed to review the offer letter and decide on whether to accept or reject it. When I purchased the MAS flight tickets , I also requested wheelchair assistance for my mum, like what I did with SIA (now only the return flight) and Qantas (for the domestic flights). It was my first experience requesting such assistance and so I was a little nervous. The first flight of our trip was the MAS flight from KL to Melbourne. We first had problem locating the business class check-in counters. So, I asked a staff at the priority counter and was told that business class counters are at a different row and that passengers can check in anyway, unlike what I was told over the phone i.e. 3 to 4 hours before departure. That was a bit a good news: we could then check in our luggages and proceeded directly to the MAS Golden Lounge. Because of the stop at the lounge, I thought the easiest was for us to wheel mum but MAS said mum had to be wheeled by a staff. Recently, I purchased flight tickets to Australia. As usual, Ban prefers seats with extra leg room for long flights and I of course will get the seat next to his. That usually means purchasing two seats at the emergency exits, which aren't many. After comparing fares over a few dates, I settled on a certain date for the SYD-SIN-KUL flight on SIA. The next step was filling in passengers' details, which took quite sometime because I had to make sure our details were correct. Also, this time, my mother is travelling with us and so there are three passengers. After submitting this, the next step was to choose seats. However, there weren't any suitable seats left! Gosh, here I thought I was early in buying tickets. So, I had to start all over again to select the next best date. It would had taken a longer time to repeat the process if SIA app hadn't allowed me to save passengers' details. I had the same problem when booking the KUL-SIN-MEL flight. My mum's passport expired years ago. Few months ago, I was looking up on the internet on whether I could still apply for passport online. It seems that it was possible but additional steps were needed if current passport had already expired AND damaged or lost but, as you might have noticed, nothing about passport that's expired but not damaged or lost. Shockingly laughable. I then phoned the immigration department at Seberang Jaya. The officer said that mum could still apply online but he advised us to walk-in because there was a special lane for senior citizen. It would be fast and easy. Mum just needed to bring her old passport and her IC. Photograph would be taken there too and so no need to bring along passport photos. So, Ban and I brought mum there soon after her visa to Australia was granted. However, halfway there, we discovered that she forgot to bring her old passport. Panic set in. Recently, I went with my sister to Maybank to open a joint account. The first checkpoint was the counter at front. The officer noticed that our addresses aren't the same in our ICs (which shouldn't be a surprise for adults!) and, in response to her question, we didn't bring our birth certs (whoever had thought of that?) She was doubtful whethere we would be allowed to open a joint account (huh?) but nevertheless she let us try out luck. We were surprsied and I remarked that previously, I had no problem opening a joint account with my mum. She said (something like this), "Maybe previously it was possible but now maybe not. Still, I let you try". Now, that, to me, was already a reasonable response (regulations/SOPs do change overtime) and it put her in a good light because, instead of saying no, she was letting us try our luck. Sometime last year, Ban fnished designing a ttrpg (tabletop role-playing game) system, including play tested it three times.  We then managed to gather 5 players to play at a friend's house every fortnight. It wasn't easy because we wanted players that we are familiar with, We started with 4 and then few sessions later added the last one. So, on the day of the session, I would drive us to have dinner, pick up a player and then to the venue. One day, upon reaching the dinner venue, I was dismayed to discover that I forgot to bring my wallet. I borrowed money from Ban but I was concerned about not having my driving license with me. We could go home after dinner to retrieve it but traffic on the way home would be heavy by then and we would be late for subsequent rendevous. It was during dinner that I suddenly remembered that it is no longer mandatory to carry the physical driving license card. Bought this Farm Fresh Soy Milk well before expiry date and opened it the day after I bought it: Should had trusted my instinct: I noticed the carton was puffed up and usually I avoided that because of prior experience. I didn't want to return to Lotus's outlet at Paradigm Mall so soon to complain about this and so instead I called Farm Fresh customer care line. The customer service officer asked for my name and phone number so that they could message me further instruction via WhatsApp and the place where I got the soy milk from. The message apologised to me for the "unpleasant experience", an expected gesture but nevertheless appreciated, and asked for "close-up picture of the affected pack along with the expiration date". I gave them that as well as the above photo and receipt. Context: Premium payment to AIA for my mum's health insurance policy is done via autodebit from my CIMB debit card. There was no issue for years until now. Also, each time I call AIA to enquire, they request to perform verification with my mum. Some dates below are approximated. (1) 26th Aug: Received sms from AIA saying that the autodebit failed and that they would try again in a few days. I decided to manually pay for it via their app to avoid the possibility of my mum's policy voided. (2) 27th Aug: Received sms from CIMB that my debit card was charged by AIA. A check with CIMB showed that the payment had yet been deducted from my account and so they asked me to check with AIA. AIA confirmed that they received the manual payment but not the autodebit payment. They asked me to call back once my account was deducted but I voiced my concern that I would not be with my mum then and so verification would not be possible.
