How to Date an Aspie Help! I Love An Aspie! (how to love someone with aspergers)

Atlas Reactor: Dr Finn gameplay

Image
I've actually finished recording this before blogging about Dr Finn.  However, I think my sister's internet was not good enough to upload it to Youtube. I just recently remember not having done so hehehe. Alas, I gave up on playing Dr Finn. I just can't play him well enough for my liking :( There's, however, a new support freelancer, Khita, incoming who has can provide similiar amount of shield (on multiple adjacent allies!) and heals (but conditional) but can dash! I''ll definitely give her a try once she's out.

Atlas Reactor: Aurora remade

Image
Since my last post on Aurora ,  I have experimented with different sets of mods based on my observation of other Aurora players. In the end, I adopted 2 sets (we can save 2 sets and select them in a jiffy). You can look up the exact mod descriptions in Prep Phase . Set 1 - Vain: heal self - Invigorating Cloud: also heals allies - Seeking Flare: through walls - Laser Designator: reveal - Focused Radiance: increases potency Set 2 - Vain: heal self - Invigorating Cloud: also heals allies - Seeking Flare: through walls - Tenacious: unstoppable for self and allies - no mod The impetus for the change is Invigorating Cloud. It's good for situations where enemies stick to Aurora or her allies. Use Ion Cloud to both hit enemies and heal allies. Vain and Seeking Flare are just too good for me. I know Surging Flare is a very popular mod but, again, I don't like it because of its conditional extra heal. So the leftover 3 loadout points are then allocated among Paralazer...

Robocraft: Double Mega! showcase

Image
Yay! Another bot was reviewed (second bot after White Reinhardt ). This time it was Double Mega!, reviewed by TheFrowningLizard. Actually, this bot is named Double M in my garage but I changed its name to Double Mega! when uploading it to the CRF because it sounded more more attractive hehehe. He gave 4/5 stars for Combat and 5/5 stars for Style although he did say he normally give full stars because he's nice :) He commended the triforcing and suggested one improvement: move the Mega Plasma by 2 or 3 blocks to minimise further gun clipping. That's a good suggestion. I'll try to do this. Thanks TheFrowningLizard for your valuable feedback!

Robocraft: White Reinhardt showcase

Image
I have uploaded a non-premium version of Dark Reinhardt  in the CRF and renamed it as White Reinhardt. From time to time, I have put my bots' names for youtubers to review them (when they requested viewers to do so). Recently, HollywoodScotty reviewed White Reinhardt :) He gave 4/5 combat rating and 4/5 for style. The main thing I was interested in was that he said that the replacement of a single laser with a nano gun would have pushed the combat rating past 5. I will give this a try. Thanks for your review and feedback, HollywoodScotty!

Robocraft: Dark Reinhardt gameplay

Image
Here's a game that I remember to record hehehe. Sorry for the jerkiness. I really don't know why it's like that, especially since in game, it was ok. Please watch it at higher speed. I recommend x2 speed. Dark Reinhardt did exceptionally well here, although there were only like 2 enemies who were fliers. Top score, top kills and top damage. Since then, it has won many more BA games than lost them. Proud of this self-built bot :) Now I hope that the blink-crash bug is fixed very soon before Dark Tracer becomes obsolete :(

Robocraft: Rise and Fall of Fliers

Image
As mentioned in a previous post , the current meta then was flier but what I forgot to mention was the introduction of a set of new armoured blocks: sloped cubes. The magic is this: they are less than half the weight of the corresponding normal cubes and yet their health is about 3% less. So no brainer for fliers: replace all normal and curved cubes with these ones. This made fliers as heavily armoured as a tank and this was especially boon for tesseract: the drone made up of this sloped cubes, protecting its core functioning parts inside i.e. thrusters and rudders. With the auto-regen feature, fliers can rest somewhere safely (e.g. on top of mountains) and recover. After a while, I concluded that fliers are superior to other movement-type bots and among fliers, tesseracts are kings. I tried one but alas, I'm not skillful enough to pilot one. Instead, I used a walled-smg copter as a guardian against enemy fliers, especially tesseracts. Here's a video of my gameplay: So...

Robocraft: Golden Lovebeam video

Image
Here's a video of my Golden Lovebeam in action. Sorry for the laggy parts. As you can see, after the last major patch, map awareness becomes critical because you need cover to auto-heal. There's also the decision of when you should do that because you will need to stop shooting for more than 10 seconds to heal 100%. Does that make it worse for your team? Team mates dying in the mean time? Fusion tower at risk of being hijacked? Or does it make it better? Once healed, you're at full power and thus able to push back enemies better? Survive better?

Robocraft: Cluly's Nerf Bomb v4

Image
There are a few bot designs that are viewed as menace in the game. To me, they are Thruster Sticks (TS) SMG and Nerf Bomb (especially the plasma version). Since I believed my albatross-like plasma bomber is simply not sufficiently competitive, I decided to rent Cluly's version of Nerf Bomb and try to see what's the fuss about. As an aside, I understand from Lathland, a popular youtuber for Robocraft, Cluly is not the first to create the Nerf Bomb but he popularised it by putting up tutorial to build it. He continually improves it and it's now version 4. His version is so popular that Nerf Bomb is nicknamed as Cluly's Ball :) It took me quite a while to learn to pilot it properly. I tested it in all modes except for The Pit. Here's a video of a quick Battle Arena (only 9mins 15secs!): The part I have most trouble is to get it to fly off once it crashes to the ground. The only way I discovered (via trial and error in the "Test Bot" mode) is to press...

Robocraft: Doombringer

Image
Few months ago, I showcased my bombers I built in Robocraft. The lowest level was (and still is) Baby Forest, now renamed Doombringer (96k robo ranking). Changed to a catchier name before uploaded it to the Community Robo Factory (CRF). Quite successful rentals, probably due to choice of thumbnail too. Will report the final tally (auto-delisting by the game) later. It's been reworked a few times, notably the skirting around the cubes supporting the guns, more cubes to take advantage of the new pilot seat's 7 connection points, and a pair of downward thrusters to help to upright the bot when it goes upside down. I think in the video below I've yet to include these thrusters.

Robocraft: Mercy Part 2

Image
Finally, I remember to record another video (with notes) of my 1m RR (robo ranking) medic hover. I really thought we were going to lose :) I had to play Team Death Match because Battle Arena is now restricted to bots of at least 30m RR. Oh well. /block is a very useful feature to use to deal with rude players :)

Robocraft: Lovebeam Mercy

Image
After honing my medic skill with Mercy for quite some time, I decided it was time to build a MK10 version of it. I had planned to follow someone's build but changed my mind because I believed my build might be better. Here it is, at Robo Ranking 34m: Based on an earlier estimation, there was no way to simply upgrade Mercy (which now has an extra gun, at the expense of the 2 side small shields) with MK10 parts because of CPU limit. So at the outset, I decided to forgo 2 sets of MK10.7 shields on the sides. That gave me more than enough CPU space to upgrade the guns. To compensate, I made use of MK10.1 and MK10.2 shields to protect the sides as much as possible. I also used MK10.1 shields to protect the top and bottom guns, although it's arguable whether they're needed for the latter or not. After I was done, I still had like 30+ spare CPU. I was surprised. Aside from the shields I forgo, the more compact size (a little puzzled how I did it hahaha) of the buil...

Grocery Store Wars

Hehehe this is so funny. I watched this years ago and someone recently showed me this again. I especially love the classic scene between Skywalker and Darth Vader.
