Here's My Story

Atlas Reactor shut down on 28th June 2019, 3pm Kuala Lumpur time. I don't know the reaasons behind it but most could guess that it wasn't attracting enough funds. It was already dying more than 6 months ago when they stopped providing new stories, freelancers and map. Its game mechanic was unique and required lots of thinking (mostly on anticipation), unlike some other button-smashing games. I loved it for that but more importantly for its community, who was largely a friendly lot (I did have many players on my blocked list though haha) and the friends I made. I was amazed to learn that it helped some friends through tough times of their lives (depression, eating disorder, self-harming, ptsd, abusive relationship). Because I was going to visit the dentist and GP the next day, I had planned my last hours of play, and saying goodbyes, on 27th June. They didn't have the X-ray with my dad's file, despite it being hand delivered by Ban on the very day it was produced. 😠 Fortunately, the CT scan (with contrast) results was there, despite it delivered all the way from Seberang Jaya Hospital a couple of weeks after it was done @@ Compared to previous scan , the lumps on his abdomen (and 1 within the abdominal muscle) had grown a little larger, and tumour is back on his left femur (so persistent!). The doctor wasn't really pushing for either chemo or just symptom management (since he's ok now with the pain management for now), and so my dad (predictably) chose the latter. My mum finally, after a few postponements due to severe headache/dizziness/migraine, got to try out 3 hearing aids (all costing RM 3500). After some adjustments and tests, she chose the Enya brand.

I've taken a liking to a particular new-ish mod and so there are now 3 mod sets I used: "Shield persists" set (1) Water Spout - unequipped (2) Refreshing Spray - Self Fish (2 loadout points) (3) Electrifying Eels - That's a Moray (3 loadout points) (4) Bubble Trouble - Double Bubble (2 loadout point) (5) Maelstrom - Leech Infestation (3 loadout points) The key feature of this set is "Double Bubble", which is the new-ish mod. This is the default set. One of my favourite decks wasn't doing well, doing to introduction of new cards and changing meta. I tried changing it a few times and was a little despondent that it wasn't working. The current build is working right up to Diamond 4 (last I played): (1) Illusory Cleaver: cheap to capture bridge and can kill minion(s) with less than 30hp (2) Scrat Pack: cheap to capture bridges (3) Screaming Scrat: cheap to capture bridge, great at taunting enemies to buy time (for your minions to kill them, for you to get enough mana to summon appropriate minion(s) to kill them, etc) (4) Xiao Long (5) Divine Warrior: good defensive tank (6) Fire Imp: great when behind tanks.
