Minion Masters: Stormbringer 'Guild' Jun19

One of my favourite decks wasn't doing well, doing to introduction of new cards and changing meta. I tried changing it a few times and was a little despondent that it wasn't working.

The current build is working right up to Diamond 4 (last I played):

(1) Illusory Cleaver: cheap to capture bridge and can kill minion(s) with less than 30hp
(2) Scrat Pack: cheap to capture bridges
(3) Screaming Scrat: cheap to capture bridge, great at taunting enemies to buy time (for your minions to kill them, for you to get enough mana to summon appropriate minion(s) to kill them, etc)
(4) Xiao Long
(5) Divine Warrior: good defensive tank
(6) Fire Imp: great when behind tanks. Melt enemy's ground minions quickly
(7) Fireball: mainly to get rid of Stun Lancers, Ghost, Priestess and Styxi
(8) Blastmancer: great at getting rid of small minions
(9) Scrat Tank: tank with high health. Great vs range
(10) Crossbow Guild: key feature of this deck

Let's try to use the checklist provided by Edelweiss to look at this deck:

  1. Average mana cost of around 3.5: 3.4
  2. 8 minions + 2 spells: No, only 1 spell.
  3. Counter to (a) Flying, (b) Swarm, (c) Big units:
    • (a) Xiao Long, Blastmancer, Crossbow Dudes (from the guild)
    • (b) Illusory Cleaver, Blastmancer, Screaming Scrat + minions, Fire Imp + tank
    • (c) Fire Imp + tank, Divine Warrior + minions, Screaming Scrat + minions
  4. Specialised cards: Blastmancer
  5. Win condition: constant stream of Crossbow Dudes supported by other minions to hit face. Perk 3 helps a lot.
