Scam

A friend of mine was scammed off S$30 due to his kind heart. Someone approached him saying that he has lost his wallet and gave what appear to be valid reasons as to why he needed that amount of money to get home etc. The scammer promised to give it back. Now, my friend didn't think too far but instead just lend him the money and gave him his phone number. That was like more than a month ago. Lesson learned. However, I came across a good quote about such scam (don't know who said this):

"If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,It was probably worth it."

So true.

Don't think of it as a scam. Think of it as a humanitarian donation.

I have experience this twice already, back in KL. First time it was RM35 and the second it was RM10.
