Mum's hearing aids no. 2 part 3

Although the trial pair could be ready in 2-3 weeks, we would get them in nearly a month time to coincide with my next visit to Butterworth. 

Getting my mum to use the trial pair went well. Ashley was patient, methodical and informative. She got my mum to practise about 5 times putting on the hearing aids. Key words: hook and push in.

When not in use, it's important open battery cover, which has a holder within to contain the battery, and place the device in a container of silica gel (provided as part of the package) to dry out possible moisture. In case of the battery dislodges from the cover or when trying to inset new battery, it should be placed from directly above the holder i.e. not from the side, not from the bottom.

Volume can be adjusted manually by clicking the top of the device. It can also be adjusted via an app but that will be introduced only later as the main aim was for mum to get used to using hearing aids, including the significant change in quality and nature of the sound she would experience. If the volume was accidentally adjusted, it can be righted to the default setting by opening and closing the battery cover (this switches off and then on the device).

Thankfully, mum has been comfortable with them since day one :) Despite initially refusing to use them like ear buds via bluetooth (she didn't want to drain the phone's battery faster), she loved it once she tried it ("it's like surround sound system").

Payment stages:

(a) RM 500 deposit for trial pair.

(b) A week later,

(i) if decline to purchase, then refund of RM 500 less RM 85 (payment for the other side of ear mould).

(ii) if proceed to purchase, then pay half of the price i.e. RM 4.2k. Once the actual aids are ready, then pay the remainder RM 4.2k less RM 500 and RM 85.

A week later, Ban brought mum for the follow-up appointment. I just tested negative for COVID-19, after tested positive for 3 full days. Ashley adjusted the pitch of the hearing aids a little bit. Ban helped to pay half of the purchase price. So now we're waiting for the actual device to arrive.

Here are the character builds for my current run (with the help of Ban): Kyrie Fellblade/Marked Counter: Slow Secondary passives: Execute, Life Font Fellblade itself is a good class because of the various conditions it can inflict and most importantly they can inflict Sleep. Iirc, the only other human class that can do this is Gadgeteer. Their passive Malice increases the chance of landing it by 10%. Fellblade pairs well with Marked because both use ATK and MND in their offensive abilities. Also, Fellblade's abilities are mostly short range whereas Marked has some long range abilities. Execute for more damage. Life Font is for suvivability. Ban opined that with two healers, there's no need for Life Font but I discover that it enables Kyrie to survive just enough for a healer to heal her up, after having received massive damage.
