Dizziness worsens

Mum followed the psychiatrist suggested method of cutting down clonazepam down to 0.125mg (quarter tablet) each night right up to the next psychiatric appointment. I'm proud of her for trying her best. Fortunately, there was no adverse reaction each time she cut down the dosage i.e. she was able to sleep through the night.

However, despite this and the new spectacles, her dizziness worsened instead of lightened. I want to cry for her :( Due to the dizziness, she slept almost throughout the daytime: she got up only to have meals and medicine. She stayed awake after dinner until about 10.30pm and then slept until the next morning.

To a particular question by the doctor, I emphasised that this chronic dizziness started when she was warded. Yes, she probably had it before but it was random, not this chronic.

After she consulted with the psychogeriatric, she said that they would wait till ENT specialist sees my mum first before planning the next course of action. Meanwhile, given how tiny the current dosage of clonazepam, my mum was advised to continue cutting it down and eventually go without it.
