Shoddy journalism #4

(Emphasis is mine, to show the mistakes)

1. Malaymail article "GEG: The end of social justice? — Farhan Amran". Sentence "If the Ministry of Health Malaysia, allowed the ‘guidelines’ to resolve the issue of tobacco use in the country in these ways alone, the main issues and effects of these issues would not be resolved.", "Good rules and controls should take precedence and this statement is supported by members who understand the key issues that should be resolved, banning, or supporting?", "According to him, although banning the sale and purchase of cigarettes to those born after 2007 is good, there must be a clear mechanism for chronic smokers to recover and recover.", "Trust in the commitment of today’s government to do things that are just, and fair is highly respected and lifted."

(I can't...don't even know where to start to correct these sentences. Please call 999.)

2. Malaymail article "Loke says DAP will decide on action against Sabah leaders for accepting ‘Datuk’ titles". Sentence "The DAP central executive committee will determine the appropriate action to take against two Sabah leaders who accepted titles today in breach of party police, said Anthony Loke."

3. Malaymail article "As Malaysians fuss over its local rice price, agroecological researchers say a bigger crisis is brewing". Sentence "She noted that at the end of the day, while the government seeks to regulate the prices of imported rice, Malaysia should be turned into a “dumping ground” and neglect its own locally grown crop."

(I think the word "not" is missing.)

4. Malaymail article "In ‘safe’ Pelangai, BN set for uphill battle to win convincingly". Sentence "“The support of Felda settlements there is still fairy satisfactory, but BN needs to work harder to get a larger support,” he said."

I ask a church member who works in the business. For print, they go through multiple reviews. For online, because they can update it later, they don't bother with reviews.

Wiliam,
Some of these articles were published weeks ago and yet the errors were still there.
