The Three Investigators
On my trip to Penang last month, I managed to read this book:
It jolted vague memories of me reading books from the series many decades ago and yet I don't recall Alfred Hitchcock's "guest-starring" character in any of them. Is he in every single Three Investigators book?

Thanks!
Alfred Hitchcock did made his appearance in all the "three investigators" books starting from number #1 to #30. Usually, he will be present in the introduction and the final interview. On some occassions, he will be the person who introduced some clients for them too! (Nervious lion, Fiery eye)
But bare in mind that Alfred Hicthcock is not the author of these books and neither did he creates the 3 characters who we so loved.
However, after series number #31 (scar faced beggar), Alfred Hitchcock passed away and they introduced a fictitious mentor in place of him named Hector Sebastian. Obviously, it was a wrong move for after that, the story and the characters got all hey-wired, Pete became braver than ever, Jupiter somehow becames a fat moron whom he resembles and Bob would becomes the thinker of the trio! I stopped after #32 (blazing cliffs) eversince as I cannot link myself to the new characters who behanved almost in reverse to the original characters.
Thanks for the information! The book is not mine though and it's in Penang.
