Pain in the butt

I have that...literally. Ok, specifically it's in my right butt cheek.

For quite some time (years?), I noticed that I have this small painless lump there - a cyst as confirmed by doctor months ago. That's all well and fine until during the last weekend, I realised that it was now slightly painful, swollen and reddish. Doctor didn't know how it got infected but cautioned me to monitor closely because it could go deeper (my poor bum!).

So I was given antibiotic tablet, antiotic cream and omeprazole (since the tablet is very acidic and my stomach can't take acidic stuff) for a few days before going back for follow-up check. However, if the infected cyst grow bigger or become more painful or redder, I should see him immediately. Next couse of action would be surgery.

i also do have cyst but not like at ur location. hehe... my condition same. i didnt go see doc. just apply st ives cream fr few days and it just died. then i remove. perhaps u can try. its better than u took those medicines.

so does it pain when u sit? it can be pretty stress.

It's not under my seat bone, thank goodness. It's a bit to the side. Still, it's painful regularly whenever I wear office pants...I guess any long pants.

Wow..did not know this is a common problem. My cyst got infected several times but after a few courses of antibiotic it pretty much recovered (right before I went to a surgeon too so what good timing!)

Confirmed have to go for surgery because no improvement and seems have gotten a little worse. Will meet specialist at hospital tomorrow morning.

How long have you been having this cysts?...Aiyo...how come the antibiotic makes it worst? Go see doctor again

For a long time, I believed. It was small and harmless. Yes, did see doctor and that was when he confirmed need surgery since the medication didn't seem to work. No-lah, don't think it's making worse.

Sudden lower body pain

About two weeks ago, my mum developed pain in her pelvic bone, much more on the right side, and squeezing pain in her legs, with occassional spike in pain. She was managing it with paracetamols, 2 tabs three times daily.  Since we didn't know any particular orthopedist in private hospitals (it was only recently that I remember Dr Prashant ), I targeted one at KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital since it's in mainland Penang (instead of on the island). I made appointment for my mum with Dr Joehaimey since he has the earliest suitable date. The moment she walked through his door, he immediately asked her whether the pain from her right side.
