Food trucks in KL

This is my first time seeing so many food trucks in one place:

Food truck 1

Food truck 2

Food truck 3

Know which is truck was the most popular? The one that sold chips.

I've always though that food trucks are a foreign concept but then again we all along have those in Malaysia that sell chendol, rojak and burgers, right? I know they started off as stalls decades ago but more and more have switched to trucks.

There are plenty of food trucks now in 2 areas of Taman Tun. While I try to support them but I prefer a proper sitting area, away from vehicle dusts and sudden rains. The prices are slightly different only. This real truck concept have long been popular in Japan.

Twilight Man,
Oh I didn't know it's popular in Japan. Did it start there?

I think it started from US since 100 years ago in Rhode Island and it became popular from the 1950s in sunny areas along the beaches in Los Angeles, California and New York City but in solitary locations. In Japan, the many trucks are parked together in a lively and appetizing manner with their handsome chefs screaming out to attract customers. This is happening exactly in Taman Tun now.
