Help me budget
As a result of this, I am now preparing for a backup plan that is quite risky and hence all the more important to get a hand of certain figures as much as possible.
I would like to find out the monthly/yearly budget for the following items in Malaysia (can just assume KL):
(1) Food
(2) Mobile phone
(3) Car maintenance
(4) Car petrol
(5) Motor insurance
(6) Broadband
Anything else I should be thinking off? There's no need to consider paying car loan, house loan, house rent or tax. I would appreciate any valuable input here. Thanks!

But that includes lots of other things right? I'm really after the basics.
cc,
I am getting a car but not the loan lah.
(2) Mobile phone - 30/mth
(3) Car maintenance - new car (200 every 6mths), 2nd hand (80 every 3mths)
(4) Car petrol - depend on usage la..haha. If work near ur house, 100/mth
(5) Motor insurance - new car (Rm1k+/yr), 2nd car (without NCB is 600/yr)
Note: All the above is the bare minimal
Hubby said if all very minimal and with best scenario (eg: work near house etc), RM1000k also enough...ngam ngam survive (if without any entertainment or special food etc)
You got to think of your daily needs (detergent, shampoo, clothes etc). How about electricity, water bills etc? Broadband? Weekend travels?
Thanks! I want to know whether the minimal stuff can be covered or not and then only consider other stuff.
Electricity and water bills are small, isn't it? Oh yes, how much is broadband?
