Shoddy journalism #8
Wow, it just keep coming on strong recently.
(Emphasis is mine, to show the mistakes)
1. Malaymail article "What you should know about: Malaysia’s brain drain and who’s benefitting from it". Sentence: "According to TalentCorp, the top five preferred countries for Malaysians who working abroad were..."
2. Free Malaysia Today article "Muhyiddin can’t stay silent on PAS-Gerakan spat, says analyst". Sentence: "Lau, of International Islamic University Malaysia, said PAS and Gerakan were merely twisting each other’s arguments without providing any solutions.
He and Azmi also said that Muhyiddin should refrain from commenting on the conflict.
"Muhyiddin should remain silent and not intervene. If he does, he will have to side with either PAS or Bersatu," Azmi said."
It should be "PAS or Gerakan".
3. Malaymail article "Why is matriculation so desirable to post-SPM students (or their parents) in Malaysia?". Sentence: "The one-year one-year matriculation is the fastest route to enter university compared to one-and-a-half-year Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) programme."
