Exercise regime

This is what I have started and hope to continue on a regular basis:

(1) Each morning (except on the day of morning tuition and also on the day of yoga class), go for 20 mins of walk, followed by 10 mins of core and arm strengthening exercise.

(2) Once a week yoga exercise at home for about 50mins or so, with about 5 - 10 mins of pilates within it.

(3) Go for an hour of yoga class every Sunday.

With this, I hope to not only achieve good health (both physically and mentally) but also to lower my bad cholesterol.

Paul,
Thanks for the info.

During the 20mins walk, I gradually pick up the pace of walking. Also, the route I walk is not not level i.e. there are some slopes and stairs (short ones though). Hence by the time I'm back at home to do the remaining exercise, my body is defnitely warmed up.

The strengthening exercise I do includes, among others, bicep curl and plank.

Yes, I need to take great care not to further damage my knees as I was diagnosed having osteoatritis in my knees.

It is important not to only concentrate on total chol. but to pay attention to your good chol (HDL) as well. If the ratio of total chol to HDL is low, then you are not at risk for heart disease. sr

The first comment made by Paul contained the hyperlink ("home exercises") to a webpage ( http://lsminsurance.ca/life-insurance-canada/2012/03/how-to-exercise-at-home) of which the owner had requested to remove due to her belief that this was what causing links penalty from Google. Hence, I've copied the original comment to here:

" Walking is a good exercise but I am afraid that twenty minutes isn't not enough, because during this time your body does not even warm up. It would be great to find some stairs and walk them up. This is one of the best home exercises and also it is a great cardio exercise. But be careful when you will walk down the stairs, because this can be very hurtful and damaging to the knees! "
