Home physiotherapy

We we quite happy with Homage's medical escort service and so I was pleased to find out that they also provide home physiotherapy service. The fees are reasonable (plus RM15 transport fee per session):

Hence, we engaged one for my mum

At first, it seems like asking for a weekday appointment made it difficult to get a therapist. Later, it turned out that they were searching for only female therapist but I told them that we didn't stipulate such condition. The conditions we set were: (1) English-speaking, (2) session on a weekday, preferably morning, and (3) doesn't mind the presence of a small dog.

The first appointment went quite well, based on my mum's feedback and she agreed to continue the therapy following the therapist's plan. Hence, we purchased the package of 5 sessions.

My mum woke up with terrible headache on the day of the second appointment (which is the first session of the package) and thus informed the therapist that she had cancel the session. Homage then told me that since it was canceled less than 2 hours, a penalty of 1-hour service fee + transport fee was applied. If it was between 2 to 24 hours, then the penalty would be 1-hour service fee.

I'm not against this cancellation fee but I was upset that we were not made aware of this previously. They said that the care advisor who I dealt with for the first engagement with Homage would have informed me but that wasn't the case. I sent them copies of emails to prove this. As a result, they refunded the penalty i.e. the package was still untouched. It was all done professionally and politely. Much appreciated.
